Journalists interested in learning about just transition can attend this webinar.

Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is hosting a webinar on reporting just transition for women, Indigenous communities, youth and local workers impacted by decarbonization efforts, on Feb. 12. This is part of EJN's IDEA Talks series that focuses on supporting journalists to apply a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) lens to their reporting.

Participants will learn about best practices for inclusive storytelling and explore how to amplify these underrepresented voices – from those in the coal and gas industries to those now impacted by the mining of lithium, cobalt and other rare earth minerals required for renewable technologies.

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A.

Panelists include Celia García-Baños, program officer-policy gender and socioeconomics, IRENA; Ayako Sakamoto, associate expert, UNEP; and Vera Pokorny, human rights and communication expert, UNEP.

Register now.
