Women journalists, content creators and digital media practitioners from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt are eligible to apply for this fellowship.

The Silat Wassel Platform invites Arab journalists to apply for the “Unheard Voices” Fellowship, which aims to challenge dominant media narratives and produce bold content reflecting marginalized issues from an intersectional feminist perspective.

The program will run from July to November and includes three days of intensive in-person training for participants based in Lebanon and online for those outside Lebanon - as well as editorial support and professional mentoring.

Twenty-four participants will be selected.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to publish their content on the Silat Wassel platform. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three media pieces.

Successful applicants are required to submit proposals for journalistic reports or articles aligned with the fellowship’s theme.

The deadline is June 25.
