Science Communication Awards honor excellence in acoustics [US]

Journalists, science communicators and acoustics professionals can compete for cash prizes.

The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) offers the Science Communication Awards in Acoustics. The awards recognize excellence in the communication of acoustics-related topics to a popular audience.

Nominated entries will be judged according to their general accessibility, relevance to acoustics, accuracy and quality. Eligible media formats include newspaper and magazine articles, videos, podcasts, social media content, books and websites.

Submitted content must be created between March 1, 2023 and Oct. 1, 2025.

Winners will receive a cash prize of US$2,500 and travel support to attend an ASA meeting where the awards will be presented.

The deadline is Oct. 13.
