Scholarships to attend MediaFest25 [US]

Journalists can apply for scholarships to attend MediaFest25.

The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), with support from the Google News Initiative, is offering 50 scholarships to help SPJ professional members with financial need attend MediaFest25, taking place Oct. 15 to 18, 2025 in Washington.

These scholarships are intended to expand access to training on Google tools developed specifically for journalists.

The scholarships will reimburse the full cost of professional conference registration (US$260 value) and one night of hotel lodging at the conference hotel (US$335 value).

Applicants must be current SPJ professional members in good standing.

The deadline is Sept. 9.
