Investigative journalists interested in tracking the global oil supply chain can attend this online training session.

Journalismfund Europe is organizing the webinar, "Tracking the Global Oil Trade with Data and Satellite Imagery" on Feb. 27. The webinar provides an introduction to the international oil trade for investigative journalists. It is part of the Earth Investigations Program that supports environmental investigative journalism on European affairs in and outside Europe.

The online training session will be given by Sam Leon and Louis Goddard, founders of the non-profit investigative group Data Desk, who will share the data sources and methodologies they use to monitor the physical processes of the global supply chain of oil, with examples from their published investigations.

In the second half of the session, participants can ask questions relating to oil trade tracking, shipping and supply chains in general.
