Literary science writing award available [US]

Publishers and literary giants can submit books and compete for a cash award.

Pen America is accepting submissions for the PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award. The award celebrates writing that exemplifies literary excellence on the subject of the physical or biological sciences and communicates complex scientific concepts to a lay audience.

All submitted books must be published by a trade or academic publisher between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025.

The winner will receive US$10,000.

The deadline is Aug. 20.
