Grants available for environmental solutions stories [Asia Pacific]

Share

Journalists from selected countries in the Asia Pacific can apply for story grants.

With support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering reporting grants to support the production of in-depth solutions-focused media reports on environmental and climate challenges in the region.

Approximately 15-20 story grants of up to US$2,000 each will be offered to selected journalists. Selected grantees will be paired with an editorial mentor and receive training on how to produce rigorous and impactful solutions journalism.

Interested journalists are encouraged to submit story ideas on scalable and replicable solutions that build community resilience to climate change and environmental degradation. The proposed stories should evaluate both the efficacy and limitations of implemented solutions and local initiatives that demonstrate resilience.

EJN accepts applications from journalists from low- and middle-income countries in the region. Journalists from countries from Central Asia are not eligible to apply.

Apply by Feb. 3.
