Digital fellowship for young Black journalists [Canada]

Early-career Black journalists in Canada can apply for a 16-month fellowship.

The Walrus, with support from the CIBC Foundation, is accepting applications for the CIBC Digital Fellowship for Emerging Black Journalists.

The selected journalist will be trained in the skills and tools required to conceptualize, produce and share storytelling across a variety of digital formats and channels.

This position is based in Toronto or can be remote from anywhere in Canada.

Applicants must have no more than three years of professional experience in journalism or related fields.

The selected fellow will receive CAD800 per week.

The deadline is Aug. 8.
