Cultural program seeking applications [Middle East]

Independent, non-governmental artistic and cultural initiatives or organizations in the Arab region are eligible to apply for this program.

The Culture Resource is accepting applications for the Abbara program, which supports independent cultural initiatives and organizations as key actors in building a meaningful cultural sector within their societies.

The program offers financial support of EUR22,000 (US$25,740) per initiative or organization, training in strategic planning and organizational management, technical assistance in diverse fields (such as governance, financial management, resources and fundraising, communications), as well as opportunities for networking and collaborations.

The duration of the Abbara program rounds ranges between 24 and 30 months, depending on the needs of each organization.

Applicants must be a small or midsize initiative or organization (with  total expenditures or income ranging between US$50,000 and US$500,000 ) and the initiative or its members should have at least three years of work experience in the arts and culture field.

The deadline is July 17.
