CNN Academy launches training program for Global South storytellers [Worldwide]

Young storytellers from developing countries in the Global South, including Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia, can apply for a training program.

CNN Academy is offering its Voices from the South: Storytelling for Impact program. From reporting on vaccine equity in Sub-Saharan Africa to humanitarian crises in conflict zones, to the resilience of frontline workers, this program will train participants to find the stories that matter and tell them in depth, with context and impact.

Selected individuals will participant in virtual training courses from July to October. They will also attend an in-person training and simulation in Abu Dhabi in November.

Early-career content creators, journalists or storytellers can apply.

The deadline is June 23.
