Award honors African films [Africa]

African filmmakers can submit nominations for an award.

Africa No Filter is accepting nominations for the Africa Narrative Change Film Award. The competition seeks films that show Africa’s exceptionalism and highlight the continent’s resilience, creativity and opportunity.

Films must have a story line that is compelling to a broad audience in Africa and at the international level.

The organizer welcomes films that center new voices, new heroes and new stories with characters who have agency in contemporary settings that reflect the Africa desired by many.

Eligible films must be completed and released between 2020 and 2025.

The deadline is July 22.
